More Race Information
- USA Triathlon (USAT) will provide medals to the top three overall finishers for both male and female in these divisions: Olympic, Sprint, and High School.
- Age groups:
- Sprint and Super Sprint: 15-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, et cetera through 85-89
- Olympic: 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, et cetera through 85-89
- Clydesdale (220+ pounds on race morning) : 39 and under, 40-59, 60+
- Athena (165+ pounds on race morning): 39 and under, 40-54, 55+
- Athletes from any state are eligible for state championship awards. Athletes may reside in a different state and still win any award for this championship. This is new from other years.
- Clydesdale and Athena require a weigh in process:
- Weigh-ins will happen close to transition area
- Weigh-ins occur on race morning
- Weigh-ins will be the athlete and their race kit (not their wetsuit)
- Athletes in these divisions must meet or exceed the prescribed weight. If they do not, they are still part of the AG awards
- Clydesdales and Athenas will have their own awards along with potential placement in the AG awards
- High School division is racing the Super Sprint. The only high school divisions are male and female. Athletes are not split by age nor high school class.
- High School athletes may compete in the high school division if they are currently enrolled in high school and up to a period of six (6) months post high school graduation. High School athletes do not have to be a member of a high school club to be eligible.
- Overall champions cannot be removed from their respective age group.
